    18 months between hair cuts.

Maybe I’ll do it again …

  2. Josh Knowles Says:

Well done. Much respect for having the dedication and desire to do this.

  3. Adam Nollmeyer Says:

They also saved you 144 / year! (in haircuts every month) I guess that’s one way to save a little cash.

I quit doing the locks of love, I donated once, and POOF, no more hair. (ever)

Make sure to wave at me next time YOU see ME, because I won’t know it’s you.

Your after picture makes you look like the Terminator…

  5. Herr Neumann Says:

    Well done Mr. Britt! ;-)

  6. Tom Chapin Says:

Wow! I’ve always been curious about what you’d look like with shorter hair. Now I know. Very interesting! (and I find it very admirable that you’re donating it to locks of love, BTW). Do you plan to grow it out long again?

  7. Jay McGavren Says:

Nice. Though I can’t go around referring to you as ‘that guy who looks like David Carradine’ any more. :)

  8. EricaLucci Says:

Great job! I love that you did this for such a good cause.

Thanks, all, for the very nice comments and support.

The haircut cost savings was not so great, as I typically let it grow until it reaches Too Damn Annoying length before cutting it back (roughly every four months).

It took me longer than I expected; it was already sorta long when I read Chad’s post. (My initial post on this was on my old blog, back in December 2006.)

I may do it again, though it can get a bit annoying. Showers took longer, plus I needed two towels; leaning over for anything meant severely limited vision unless I had the mane pulled back; even when pulled back, some number of wispy strands would come loose, making driving with the car windows open an invitation to sudden blinding eye pain.

But, on the other hand, maybe they’ll be less little kid feeling extra weird for lack of hair.

Have some thoughts on this? See here for how to reach me.
